Designed to honour one of South Yorkshire’s most beloved hometown heroes, Self Esteem.
Born in Rotherham, Rebecca Lucy Taylor – better known as Self Esteem – is a musician, songwriter and actress.
Since 2015, she has released three albums (including Mercury Prize nominee, Prioritise Pleasure), played on stages around the world, and performed on West End stages.
This lioness is inspired by her 2025 album, A Complicated Woman, with the design celebrating her fierce presence and anthemic songwriting.
The artist
Francesca Hague
Originally from North Wales, Francesca Hague graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art.
After previously exhibiting as a portrait artist, for the last ten years Francesca has built and run the independent ceramic design studio Grey Suit Clay, specialising in domestic homeware and ceramic sculpture.
