Designed to honour one of South Yorkshire’s most beloved hometown heroes, Richard Hawley.
Born and bred in Sheffield, his soulful music pays homage to his home city – packed with references to its heritage and history, its people and its places.
Starting his career with the Longpigs in the 1990s, Hawley has played alongside Pulp on tour and has seen award nominations from both Mercury Prize and the BRIT Awards.
Cherish the Light takes his name from Richard’s acclaimed 2005 album Coles Corner, with the original album artwork serving as the main design inspiration.
The artist
Francesca Hague
Originally from North Wales, Francesca Hague graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art.
After previously exhibiting as a portrait artist, for the last ten years Francesca has built and run the independent ceramic design studio Grey Suit Clay, specialising in domestic homeware and ceramic sculpture.
