Crystal Peaks have big plans for Pride of Yorkshire
Crystal Peaks Shopping Centre has been part of Sheffieldโs sculpture trails from the very beginning โ supporting both the Herd of Sheffield and the Bears of Sheffield. Now the centre is preparing to play its part once again for Pride of Yorkshire 2026.
Crystal Peaks Shopping Centre has roared into action as one of the first businesses to back Pride of Yorkshire. Signing up for their third sculpture trail with Sheffield Childrenโs Hospital Charity, the centre will once again play a starring role when 150 lions and 150 cubs take to the streets of South Yorkshire next summer.
For Centre Manager Lee Greenwood, getting involved is an easy decision:
“This campaign is a no-brainer for us. It brings new people into the centre, it excites our community, and it supports a hospital that means something to every family in South Yorkshire.โ

Backing the Bears of Sheffield
During the Bears in 2021, Crystal Peaks was full of trail activity. Families hunted down sculptures across the centre, joined workshops, and enjoyed mini-trails. Lee remembers the buzz: “We were just coming out of Covid and looking for ways to bring people back together. The Bears did exactly that. People came in to see the sculptures and ended up exploring the whole centre.โ

Now, with lions set to take over South Yorkshire, the Crystal Peaks team are exploring fresh ways to get involved: โWeโre still in the planning stages, but weโve got lots of ideas about how we can bring the trail to life here โ from crafts and workshops to events that involve our tenants and community.โ
For Office Administrator Clare Burnett, whoโs been hands-on with both previous trails, itโs all about the memories created: “It makes the job so much more exciting. You see families light up when they get involved!“
With plans underway, Crystal Peaks is looking forward to being part of another trail that will raise vital funds for Sheffield Childrenโs Hospital Charity and bring people together right across the region.
