What to do with a Pride of Yorkshire code
Found a Pride of Yorkshire collection code out in the wild? Here’s how you can use it to start collecting lions!
**The Pride of Yorkshire trail has now ended. If you’re yet to complete your collection, codes will still be redeemable until after the Farewell Event.**
So youโve found a Pride of Yorkshire code? Congratulations! Each of our 300 sculptures (150 lions/lionesses and 150 cubs) have a unique code assigned to them, making it even easier for you to collect them on the Pride of Yorkshire interactive trail map.
Now, let’s collect that lion! For the best experience, we recommend doing the below steps on a mobile device.
1. Log in or register for your Pride of Yorkshire online account by selecting ‘Log In’ or ‘Register’ in the header of the home page.
2. Once you’ve logged in/made your account, hit ‘Take me to the trail’ and input your log-in information.
3. When the map loads, click the red bar with the yellow paw print in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
4. Enter your code into the white box to collect your lion! Codes are case sensitive to make sure you’re typing exactly what you see in front of you.
5. You can see your collected lions by pressing Rawr Data in the blue bar on the bottom of your screen.
We’d love you to keep Pride of Yorkshire codes a secret to ensure everyone has the opportunity to find the sculptures and explore South Yorkshire!
Will I be able to use codes at the Farewell Event?
Yes! All 300 Pride of Yorkshire sculptures will go on display for one weekend only during the Farewell Event, and you’ll be able to find favourites and complete your collection by typing the codes in on your Pride of Yorkshire Interactive Trail Site. Not picked up your tickets for Yorkshire’s loudest roar? Tickets for the Farewell Event are available here.
What is a Pride of Yorkshire collection code?
Each of our beautiful sculptures has a unique redemption code to make it even easier to collect them on the interactive trail site. This is made up of a random combination of numbers and lower-case letters, and is case sensitive.
Do I have to use the code to collect a lion?
No! Not only does each sculpture have a code, it is also mapped to a location using Google Maps. This means you can see how far from your current location a sculpture is, where on a map you can find it and will even track your distance as you approach.
Sometimes, all kinds of pesky bugs can get in the way which cause the location of a lion to be slightly off, so the codes give you a way to collect a sculpture… even when bugs abound!
How do I know if I’ve found a code?
Codes can be found on every Pride of Yorkshire sculpture plinth, alongside the name and biography of the sculpture, details about the artist, and the sponsor logo.
An example of a Pride of Yorkshire code can be found circled in red below. Please note, this isn’t the code for Lioness Grove… you’ll have to go to Yorkshire Wildlife Park to find that one!
