At Monkwood Primary, we are fortunate to have an expansive woodland that serves as a vibrant outdoor classroom, which allows our pupils to foster a love of outdoor learning and is a cornerstone of our school identity.
The base of the cub features a lush carpet of grass and bluebells, leading up to a canopy of handprinted trunks – each representing a local woodland.
Leaves are formed by the fingerprints of our pupils, and our school motto “Where the Love of Learning Grows” completes the design.
