More than 400 artists from across the country have signed up to be part of the Pride of Yorkshire sculpture trail next year! From muralists and illustrators to sculptors, textile artists and street art stars, the talent and variety on offer has blown us away. 

We put our initial call-out for artists to get involved in Pride of Yorkshire out in mid-June, and we were delighted to see hundreds of designs of all styles and themes pouring in right up until the deadline closed at midnight on 31 July.

Every one of our 150 large lion and lioness sculptures will be uniquely brought to life by a selected artist, with the final designs set to form a free, family-friendly trail across Sheffield, Barnsley, Doncaster and Rotherham – all to raise funds for Sheffield Children’s. 

A huge thank you to every single artist who submitted a design, and for your patience as we go through them all and select which artists we’ll be working with on the Pride of Yorkshire.

The Pride of Yorkshire will be roaring to life in summer 2026, where from June – September you’ll be able to find 150 incredible large lion sculptures and 150 adorable cubs across Doncaster, Sheffield, Rotherham and Barnsley.
