Natasha Clarke is a South Yorkshire based fine artist and muralist whose work explores beauty, femininity, and female autonomy. Informed by her mixed-heritage background, White British and Black Jamaican, Natasha brings these two cultural influences into dialogue within her practice, creating work that reflects both intersection and exchange.

Her portraits celebrate women of all ethnicities and races, challenging traditional representations and expanding the visual language of beauty. Through considered composition and perspective, Natasha repositions the female subject within the frame. Figures are often turned away, their identities partially obscured, or viewed from a worm’s-eye perspective, elevating their presence and shifting the dynamic between subject and viewer.

These intentional gestures disrupt the historical conventions of the male gaze, allowing the women depicted to exist beyond expectation, with a sense of autonomy, dignity, and quiet power.
