Pride of Yorkshire and Meadowhall partnership roars to life
Having supported Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity with previous sculpture trails, including Herd of Sheffield and Bears of Sheffield, we’re thrilled that Meadowhall is joining the Pride!
We’re delighted to announce that Meadowhall will be supporting Pride of Yorkshire by coming aboard as Presenting Partner for the trail.
As Presenting Partner, Meadowhall will host the much-loved Farewell Event for the trail, which takes place in the autumn after the trail and is an opportunity for visitors to see all the sculptures in one place for the final time, before they head off to auction. More information about this event, including dates, how to book tickets and more will be available soon.
In addition, we can reveal that Meadowhall will be a trail location for multiple sculptures over the summer – forming a mini-trail within the centre for keen lion-lovers to find and add to their collection.
Pop-Up Art Studio takes shape in centre
Can’t wait until the summer? Visitors to Meadowhall can also stop by the Pride of Yorkshire Pop-Up space to see everything from artists working on their sculptures, take part in workshops, pick up merchandise during the trail and see the designs on display.
You can find us on the Upper Level on The Avenue by the entrance to the centre!
On this exciting partnership, Cheryl Davidson, Project Lead for Pride of Yorkshire, said: “We’re so excited to once again be working with the team at Meadowhall to bring our sculpture trail to an even bigger audience. Both the Herd and Bears of Sheffield were hugely popular with Meadowhall’s customers, and we can’t wait to see how they respond to our Pride of Yorkshire lions!”

The Pride of Yorkshire Pop-Up space in Meadowhall is the second spot to see the lions before the trail, joining the previously announced painting space on The Moor in Sheffield City Centre, where visitors can get a peek through the windows of artist at work.

June – September 2026: Pride of Yorkshire takes to the streets of South Yorkshire.
October 2026: Farewell event and auction.
