Schools and Community Groups across South Yorkshire are now working to bring personality, creativity and imagination to their cubs before they head onto the trail this summer!
Adopt a Cub
We’re all sold out of our Pride of Yorkshire cubs! A huge thank you to all the schools and community groups who have adopted, enquired and been in touch.
Your school can still get involved with fundraising for Pride of Yorkshire and Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity during the trail. If you would like more information about fundraising for us, please complete the form on the Get Involved Page.
The 150 cubs, known as the Little Pride, will go out across South Yorkshire when Pride of Yorkshire hits the streets, places and public spaces from June – September this year.
More information about locations will be shared in the coming weeks. Watch this space!

About our cub:
Q: Where on the trail will we be able to find our cub?
A: Our team are working hard to confirm all the locations for sculptures on the trail, and you will be told where to find yours when we have the information. We will try our best to ensure the cubs are placed locally to the school/community group that designed it!
Q: When will be able to see our cub?
A: Pride of Yorkshire launches in June 2026 and will run through to September 2026. After the trail, all sculptures – including the cubs! – will head to Meadowhall for the Farewell Event in early October. Then, your cub will be returned to you.
About fundraising for our cub:
Q: How do we send you the money we’ve raised?
A: There are a few ways you can send your fundraising to us!
Bank Transfer: Please email sculptures@sheffieldchildrens.org to request our details.
Cash: Please drop-off at the charity hub in Outpatients at Sheffield Children’s Hospital (open Monday – Friday, 10am – 4pm).
Cheques: Please post to our charity office (Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity, 1st Floor Orchard Lane, Fountain Precinct, Balm Green, Sheffield, S1 2JA ), with a note detailing the name of your school/community group and stating that the money is for your Pride of Yorkshire fundraising.
JustGiving: The money you raise on JustGiving will automatically come through to the charity.
Q: When is the fundraising deadline?
A: The fundraising deadline for schools and community groups is Monday 6 April 2026. If you believe your school or group will need more time, please email us on sculptures@sheffieldchildrens.org

Resources for Schools
We’re delighted to be working once again with Twinkl to create fun and engaging classroom resources for Pride of Yorkshire.
Twinkl’s expert team of teachers bring learning to life through high-quality and curriculum-aligned materials for educators across the region. Having supported with Bears of Sheffield in 2021, Twinkl are back onboard to provide an all new education pack for Pride of Yorkshire.
These free resources are available to anyone who wants to bring Yorkshire pride to their lessons!
With assembly packs, activities such as codebreakers, lion crafts and wordsearches, comprehension tasks and more, these resources will support in teaching students about our sculpture trail, Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity and why it’s important to help and support others.
