Gerald is inspired by Gerald Haythornthwaite – the husband of Sheffield-born environmental campaigner and activist Ethel Haythornthwaite.
Together, Gerald and Ethel played a vital role in creating the green belt around Sheffield, now known as the Peak District!
Artist Si Homfray has created a celebration of all things Peak District with his design, using the lion as mighty canvas to pull many details of the peak district together.

Si Homfray
Si Homfray is an artist, designer, adventurer and author who lives in Hathersage in the Peak District. His work is the expression of a lifetime living in Sheffield and the Peak District, his many adventures and long runs around the world.
This experience is combined with a curiosity to find new ways of presenting and sharing information with themes around wellbeing and the natural world and how our immersion in outdoor spaces works effectively to create personal growth and inner calm.
