Inspired by Richard Hawley’s song, Heart of Oak, this design follows the life of an oak as it evolves throughout the year – from the fresh greenery and new life of spring, to the vibrant oranges and sleepy surrender of autumn. Oak trees are always, silently, playing their part in bringing life, colour and energy to our city.

Lydia Monks is a bestselling illustrator and author of children’s books.
