The lioness symbolises the transformative nature of a dandelion seed head (known as a Dandelion Clock!), and acts as a living reminder of time, growth and the enchanting nature of change.
Artist Sarah Abbott transforms the powerful body of the lioness into a clean design which celebrates the winds of change, embraces what’s to come and promises to face new eras and challenges with strength and confidence.

Sarah Abbott
Sarah Abbott is an illustrator and designer based in Sheffield, whose work is often inspired by the natural world, and more specifically plant life. She creates clean and simple artworks for a variety of clients both locally and overseas, and most recently created new garden maps for Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh and illustrated a children’s wildflower book for the National Trust.
Sarah’s work hopes to modernise the way we engage with and view nature, to emphasise its importance and capture distinct features and colours in a way that simplifies the sometimes chaotic world around us.
