Location
Nyika (pronounced Nee-yee-kah) is a word from Swahili, also used by several Bantu languages, which means wilderness, open land and countryside.
Artist Rob Godley wanted to recreate the breathtaking scenery of South Yorkshire and the Peak District with his design – and has faithfully created a peaceful, nature-filled scene.
Nyika serves as a reminder of our collective responsibilities to protect and preserve green spaces, and to make a safe and stable home for the wildlife that resides there.

Rob Godley – Millstones and Moor
Rob Godley – the artist behind Millstones & Moor – is a Sheffield lad who grew up on the outskirts of the Steel City. With close family in both South Yorkshire and Derbyshire, his love for these two incredible areas started at a young age as his childhood was spent exploring the great outdoors and being surrounded by nature.
Picking up art as a hobby during the 2020 pandemic, Rob’s artwork reflects his love of “God’s Own Country” and his adventures over the county borders in the Peak District, Derbyshire and beyond.
