From the paddock, to the finish line! Every September, St Leger Festival turns Doncaster into the centre of the racing world, with the best and brightest all hopeful to take home a win.
The Final Furlong recognises 250 years of St Leger Festival, which packs excitement, power and celebration into a four-day event. Artist Amadora captures everything from pre-race preparation, to the roar of the crowd as their favourite thunders towards victory, and turns colourful jockey silks into the mighty legs of the lioness.

Amadora
Amadora is a Sheffield-based artist specialising in vibrant cityscape paintings inspired by the energy of urban life. Working primarily in acrylic, she captures the atmosphere of cities through bold colour – often focusing on iconic locations from her hometown. Her work brings familiar scenes to life, transforming them into dynamic paintings with a sense of nostalgia.
Alongside her cityscapes, Amadora also creates expressive portrait paintings, using vivid colours and bold brushstrokes to capture the personality and energy of her subjects. She works on a range of collaborations and commissions creating custom artworks – from portraits, to motorsport paintings and bespoke projects.
