Yungblud meets Supermoon
Ahead of his homecoming show, Yungblud took time out to sign a sculpture created in his honour.
Doncaster-born rocker Yungblud took time out of his tour rehearsal schedule to meet and sign a Pride of Yorkshire lioness created in his honour.
Called Supermoon, named after the closing track of his 2025 album, Idols, which was nominated at the 2026 Grammy Awards for Best Rock Album, this lioness got a rockstar upgrade when Yungblud signed her.
He met the lioness before his homecoming Utilita Arena Sheffield show as part of the Idols tour, during rehearsals at the venue before UK opening night of the tour.
Created by Sheffield-based muralist and tattoo artist Enso, Supermoon uses black and white colour palette of the album, and features the wings iconography from the album artwork.
When the trail goes live, Yungblud fans will be able to find Supermoon outside of Doncaster Dome – where he played a sold-out homecoming show in 2021.
Supermoon will join 149 other large lion and lioness sculptures across the streets, parks and public spaces of South Yorkshire this summer. Pride of Yorkshire will bring creativity, community and care to the region, and support the redevelopment of the Emergency Department at Sheffield Children’s Hospital.
