Pride of Yorkshire at Tramlines 2025
Lions and Jarvis and Vibes, oh my! Find out what happened when our lions entered the Tramlines festival ground over the weekend.
Music lovers might have spotted that the Pride of Yorkshire lions were out and about at Tramlines in Sheffield this past weekend. Our launch lions โ designed and painted by Tom J Newell โ were in and around the festival for everyone to get a close-up look (and maybe even the occasional piggyback).
Dandylion โ our sensational launch male sculpture could be found hanging around the Family Area, just opposite BBC Radio Sheffield. He saw hundreds of visitors over the weekend and loved getting his picture taken with everyone who came along. Dandylion also got a special shoutout from BBC Radio Sheffieldโs Paulette Edwards, who showed her love and appreciation for his vibrant design and magnificent mane.

You can catch her and our Head of Strategic Partnerships, Tchad Western, talking about the campaign over on BBC Sounds [from around 1:34:10].
Elsewhere, Dandylioness was ready and roaring to greet this yearโs line-up โ including Pulp, CMAT, John Cooper Clarke, The Last Dinner Party, Scouting for Girls, Red Rum Club, The Reytons, The Sherlocks and Kasabian โ at the artist hub. Watch this space for more information on our musical collaboration plans for the Pride of Yorkshire!

Throughout the festival, our team were on hand to greet guests and share information about the Pride of Yorkshire โ including key dates, how to get involved and more.

A huge thank you to the team at Tramlines for accommodating our lions and team over the weekend, we had a roar-some time and are already looking forward to Tramlines 2026!
The Pride of Yorkshire will be roaring to life in summer 2026, where from June โ September youโll be able to find 150 incredible large lion sculptures and 150 adorable cubs across Doncaster, Sheffield, Rotherham and Barnsley.
