From craft activities and workshops, to the full range of Pride of Yorkshire merchandise and a handful of our adorable cubs to collect – our Meadowhall Pop-Up has it all!

Located on Upper Avenue (upstairs next to Sports Direct) in Meadowhall, the Pop-Up Shop will be open Thursday – Saturday throughout July and August, from 10am – 5pm.

Darren Pearce, centre director at Meadowhall, said: “It’s great to welcome the Pride of Yorkshire pop-up shop to Meadowhall this summer, giving people across the region the chance to pick up official merchandise and get involved in the trail.

“Having the lions here at the centre is really special. They’re already turning heads, sparking conversations, and giving our visitors something exciting to see while they’re here.

“Most importantly, Pride of Yorkshire is raising vital funds for Sheffield Children’s Hospital, and we’re proud to be supporting such an important cause. With plenty more still to come at Meadowhall this summer, it’s a great time to come down and see what’s happening.”

Workshops, guests and craft activities

The Pride of Yorkshire Pop-Up also has craft tables available for the young (and the young at heart) to stop by and let their inner artist roar!

Throughout the summer, we’ll be running a series of free events and workshops with artists involved in the Pride of Yorkshire trail. No need to book, these workshops are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

You can also pick up at trail map either from the Pride of Yorkshire Pop-Up, or from the Meadowhall Management Suite all summer long! They are a suggested donation of £1 and are your key to completing your lion collection this summer.

While you’re there, don’t forget to find the nine cubs, two lions and two lionesses around the centre. More information about where to find them is below:

The Pride Reflects by Amy Jackson, sponsored by the Loadhog Foundation can be found outside the main Meadowhall entrance. This striking silver sculpture is perfect for snapping a picture of two with your friends and family before heading into centre.

Once Were Warriors by Pete McKee, sponsored by Meadowhall can be found in Lower Avenue outside Clubhouse. A cheerful poke at the furry feline friends found in our homes, this lioness is packed with artist Pete McKee’s signature humour.

The Pride Shines by Amy Jackson, sponsored by Special Steel Group can be found outside the Oasis entrance. This golden beauty keeps a watchful eye over the Riverside Playground and gives guests a chance to see themselves reflected in her.

Wherever We Roam by Rune Dali Burke, sponsored by ICD Europe can be found outside the Next entrance. This lion is a celebration of our oceans and their ability to connect us, send us on almighty travels and encourage adventure.

Cubs to be found within the Pride of Yorkshire Pop-Up include Lingo Leo by Abbeyfield Primary, Balliroar – The Ballifield Lion by Ballifield Primary School, Monty the Yorkshire Star by Sheffield Park Academy, ARCHibald by Parkwood E-Act Academy and A Roar for Yorkshire by Aston Lodge Primary School.
